It's Getting Hot in Here - Seekonk 02777

Summer is the season for opening up the windows and letting the breeze flow through. Or in many cases, cranking up the A/C because the air is too hot to bear.
It’s no secret that during the summer months, in an attempt to escape the heat and humidity, most people leave the A/C running all hours of the day — whether they are home or not.
While that’s a great way to ensure your home is always cool, it’s also a great way to increase your risk of an electrical fire. Air conditioner units, like any other type of equipment or machinery, needs to be regularly inspected and serviced. Neglecting your central air conditioner unit can cause you to skip over small adjustments that could play a big role in preventing an AC fire. Make sure to regularly service your AC unit to ensure all parts are working correctly, such as having a professional replace the fan therefore preventing heat traps that may cause the temperatures to rise and ignite the combustibles near the heating pipes.
It would be ironic to have the AC unit be the cause of a home fire. This is why we at SERVPRO of Fall River hope this leaves you aware of the potential dangers an AC unit, if not served regularly, can cause.
While we are not AC professionals, our technicians are thoroughly trained to deal with fire and smoke damage restoration. Call our office at 508-676-9100 for a free estimate.
